Product Overview
Hefonix-River 6000 inland vessel navigation simulator is a specialized product developed by Hefonix based on its maritime simulator technology, specifically tailored to the narrow and complex environments of inland waterways. This product features hardware configurations (such as steering wheels and engine telegraphs) tailored to the maneuvering characteristics of inland vessels. Targeted development includes visual optimization, vessel motion model adaptation, and simulation of maneuvers such as towing and pushing, ensuring compliance with IMO standards and the relevant training criteria stipulated in the "Rules for the Examination and Certification of Inland Vessel Crew of the People's Republic of China."

We are committed to providing simulators that better align with the operational practices of inland vessel crews, leveraging technology to drive training reform, improve practical exam performance, and shorten job adaptation time.
Product Key Highlights
1. Complex Water Flow Dynamic Simulation
- Taking into account the characteristics of inland waterways, such as fluidity, boundary constraints, and topographical conditions, this system creates realistic inland waterway scenarios and reproduces unique flow effects, including bend circulation, backflow zones, tidal superposition, and differences in water level during flood and dry seasons, enabling in-depth simulation of inland waterway shipping scenarios.
- Supports setting water flow speed, ensuring that the dynamic response of the hull forces conforms to the maneuvering characteristics of inland vessels: fast with the current and slow against it.
2. Inland Waterway Traffic Environment Reproduction
-Aids to Navigation: Simulates specialized inland waterway navigation aids (such as coastal beacons, guide beacons, and bridge and culvert beacons), supporting accurate display of light quality (e.g., steady light, flashing light) and color (red/green/yellow), in compliance with the "Inland Waterway Aids to Navigation" standard (GB 5863-2022);
-Bridge Scene: Highly realistic bridge scene reproduction, including typical bridge types such as continuous beam bridges and cable-stayed bridges, simulating pier crash barriers, navigation clearance heights (supporting height limit alarms), bridge navigation lanes (upstream and downstream navigation channels), and speed limits (e.g., under 10 knots);
-Lock Operations: Supports expanded lock process training, simulating lock chamber operations, including lock chamber water level rise and fall, gate opening and closing sequences, and fleet entry and exit scheduling.
3. Tugboat Operations and Emergency Training
-Supports coordinated towing and pushing operations;
-Simulation of unique inland waterway hazards, such as running aground (shallows), stranding (dry season), collision with bridge piers, and drifting downstream after engine failure. Supporting training in inland waterway emergency communication procedures.

Application Scenarios
Application Areas | Typical Training Subjects |
Inland Waterway Crew Competency Training | Inland waterway vessel pilots are assessed in subjects such as "Inland Waterway Vessel Maneuvering," "Collision Avoidance and Signaling," and "Emergency Response," in accordance with the requirements of the "Rules for the Examination and Certification of Inland Waterway Vessel Crew." |
Inland Waterway Pilot Training | Piloting operations in key waterways (such as the Yangtze and Pearl Rivers), including specialized skills training in bridge pilotage and narrow channel navigation. |
Maritime Safety Drills | Inland waterway traffic accident investigation simulations (e.g., collision and grounding analysis), emergency search and rescue (e.g., man overboard, vessel fire), and oil spill response drills, among other maritime-related exercises. |
Specialized Service Support
-Customized Development: We can customize the development of dedicated ship models/channel scenarios based on user needs (e.g., specific inland waterway routes, new vessel types);
-Data Update Service: We regularly update inland waterway data (including changes in water depth and positions of navigational aids) to ensure that training scenarios are consistent with actual waterways;
-Inland Waterway Instructor Training: We provide practical instructor training (including guidance for Maritime Safety Administration certification assessments) with the accompanying "Inland Waterway Simulator Teaching Manual."

Based on the maneuverability characteristics of inland waterway vessels, we are committed to providing comprehensive inland waterway crew training modules, enabling crew members to improve their inland waterway navigation skills through realistic practical scenarios and maneuverability.
