Product Details
Hefonix-Oil 6000 ship oil spill simulator is a custom-developed product based on Hefonix's maritime simulator technology, in accordance with relevant national standards for major marine oil spill emergency response plan and DNV-GL. It complies with the relevant requirements for crew and emergency operator training and assessment under international conventions such as SOLAS, STCW, and OPRC. It covers the following training scenarios:
- Crew and emergency personnel training: The system can be used to provide emergency response training to crew members at the oil spill site.
-Command and decision-making training: This system simulates multi-departmental coordination in emergency scenarios, including emergency resource management and coordination and command training for emergency elements such as the maritime emergency command center and on-site emergency commanders.
-Port/sea area oil spill plan simulations: This system optimizes the layout of emergency resource reserves (such as boom storage locations and emergency vessel berthing locations) by simulating the spread risks under different oil spill volumes and meteorological conditions.
- Extreme Scenario Stress Testing: This simulates the development and verification of emergency response plans under extreme scenarios, such as a persistent oil spill caused by a large oil tanker grounding or uncontrolled oil spill drift during a typhoon, to verify the feasibility and redundancy of the plans.
- Waterway Oil Spill Risk Assessment and Verification: This combines ship traffic density and hydrological data to analyze the probability of oil spills and environmental impacts in specific sections (such as narrow waterways and port anchorages), assisting in the formulation of control measures such as speed limits and mooring bans.

To address challenges in ship oil spill emergency response training, such as high training costs, the risk of oil spills, and the limitations of training scenarios, the ship oil spill simulator overcomes time and space constraints. It supports all-weather, multi-scenario training without the need for actual oil products and is unrestricted by port/sea environments. It offers the following features:
Product Features
- High-Precision Dynamic Evolution Simulation of Oil Spills
* Based on a multiphase flow model, it simulates the diffusion of oil spills in the marine environment in real time, enabling the reproduction of the physical properties (such as diffusion coefficient) of different oil products (such as asphalt, fuel oil, and naphtha).
*Integration of ocean dynamic environmental parameters: Simulates the impact of ocean currents, tides, and wind patterns on oil spill trajectory, dynamically displaying the oil film's spread area, thickness, and drift path
- Supports selection of different boom types (such as inflatable and curtain types) and simulates the deployment process for oil cleanup training.
- Supports real-time status monitoring of resources such as emergency vessels, drones, and unmanned pollution cleanup vessels, allowing resource dispatch routes to be plotted using electronic charts.
- Supports pre-defined environmentally sensitive areas such as marine protected areas and fishing ports. When an oil spill approaches, it triggers audible and visual alarms to assist in demarcating warning areas and evacuation routes.
- Supports pre-defined scenarios for typical oil spill incidents.
- Supports recording and playback of training data.
The ship oil spill simulator effectively bridges the gap between theory and practice, allowing for continuous training to enhance capabilities, thereby reducing training costs and improving training effectiveness.
