Product Overview

Traditional disassembly and assembly training often requires students to observe and disassemble actual ship equipment, such as diesel engines and oil purifiers. It involves high cost, operational complexity, significant risk, and challenges in implementation, observation, and reproduction, which hinder teaching effectiveness.

To address these teaching pain points, the Hefonix-VR D&A 6000 VR Ship Engine Room Virtual Disassembly and Assembly Simulator is dedicated to providing a professional, realistic, efficient, and safe disassembly and assembly training environment. Using VR/MR technology, it disassembles ship engine room equipment, visualizing and interactively presenting complex mechanical structures and disassembly and assembly processes. Breaking through space limitations, it offers low investment costs, minimal space requirements, and minimal equipment restrictions, allowing for quick setup of training scenarios tailored to your needs.

VR Ship Engine Room Simulator

This program meets the following typical application scenarios

- Equipment Structure Cognition: Replacing traditional teaching aids, this program uses virtual disassembly and assembly to visually demonstrate the internal structure of equipment such as diesel engines and oil purifiers, helping students understand the "part functions, assembly relationships, and operating principles." Supporting pop-up presentations of theoretical knowledge improve teaching efficiency.

- Disassembly and Assembly Process Training: For courses such as "Marine Diesel Engine Maintenance" and "Engine Automation," students will receive standardized disassembly and assembly training, such as "Replacing the Seal Ring at the Oil Purifier's Drain Port" and "Disassembling and Installing a Pump Impeller." Students can practice repeatedly until they master the correct procedures without worrying about part damage.

- Certificate of Competency Examination: This program aligns with the Maritime Safety Administration's "Engine Room Equipment Maintenance" assessment subject, simulating common disassembly and assembly tasks onboard a real ship. Training ensures standardized procedures and process accuracy, and evaluation reports serve as the basis for exam results.

- New Equipment Hands-on Training: For new equipment, students will learn about structural differences through virtual disassembly and assembly, shortening the onboard adaptation period.

Full Mission Solutions

VR solutions offer a highly immersive experience and effective training. However, due to  limitations inherent to VR equipment, users may experience dizziness or discomfort. They also have high maintenance costs and require frequent cleaning. You can customize your configuration can be tailored to your specific needs.

This desktop solution is ideal for conducting virtual disassembly and assembly training of ship engine room equipment in a classroom environment. It includes one instructor station and 40 student terminals (equipped with PC-based virtual disassembly and assembly software). It can also be configured to meet your specific training needs.

The full mission solution is dedicated to providing a simulated training environment that aligns with the actual shipboard environment. It includes:

-Large dynamic simulation screen (simulating the flow of various system pipelines);

-Engine  simulation (a 10:1 scale model of the main engine, capable of linking with the simulation system);

-Power plant simulation (main and emergency distribution panels);

-Central control console;

-Navigation control  console;

-Engine-side control console;

-Auxiliary control box;

-Supporting simulation system software.

You can flexibly configure the system to meet your specific needs. This system supports integration of virtual disassembly and assembly into engine room training exercises. For example, if an engine room fault occurs and an alarm is generated, trainees wearing VR equipment can troubleshoot and repair the faulty equipment. After repairing the equipment through the correct disassembly and assembly process, the engine room alarm is cleared and the equipment resumes normal operation, creating a closed-loop training workflow encompassing engine room operations, fault simulation, and disassembly and assembly procedures.

FAQ

  • What are the main applications of Hefonix's simulator products?

    Hefonix simulator products cover multiple fields, including maritime education, maritime safety, military-civilian integration, and scientific research and verification. Core application scenarios include: 1.Crew Training and Assessment: These products meet IMO, STCW, and China Maritime Safety Administration standards, providing practical training in ship maneuvering, collision avoidance, and GMDSS communications (e.g., full-mission ship maneuvering simulators and GMDSS simulators). 2.Emergency Drills: These products simulate fires, groundings, and oil spills, supporting coordinated maritime search and rescue training (e.g., ship oil spill simulators and maritime self-rescue lifeboat simulators). 3.Civil-Military Integration: Their distributed architecture can be expanded to ship maneuvering and tactical coordination training for the Navy and Coast Guard (e.g., Navy Task Force Combat Operations Simulators and Naval Combat Training Simulators).
  • What are the core technical advantages of the Hefonix simulator?

    The Hefonix simulator focuses on "high-precision simulation + scenario-based training." Its technical advantages include: 1. High-precision mathematical model: The six-degree-of-freedom motion model covers complex hydrodynamic phenomena such as inter-vessel effects and shallow water effects, and supports simulation of propulsion devices such as fixed-pitch and variable-pitch propellers. 2. Web-based architecture and multi-device collaboration: Systems such as electronic charts and GMDSS are developed based on the web, supporting multi-device access from computers, tablets, and mobile phones, reducing site restrictions (e.g., unlimited-area electronic chart simulators and GMDSS simulators). 3. Immersive visuals and realistic interaction: The 3D visuals utilize realistic terrain textures and dynamic water effects, and ship navigation lights and types comply with the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions (COLREGs). Hardware operating logic is consistent with that of a real ship (e.g., the control panel of the ship radar/ARPA simulator provides the same operational feedback as the actual ship equipment). 4. Multi-system integration and fault simulation: Integrates radar, electronic charts, GMDSS, and other equipment to support simulation of complex scenarios such as co-frequency interference and sensor failures, enhancing emergency response capabilities (for example, the full-mission engine room simulator can simulate faults such as main engine overheating and fuel system leaks).
