This project includes one training station, one master ship, and four replica ships. The advanced 360-degree full-mission ship handling simulator utilizes state-of-the-art computer imaging and virtual reality simulation technologies, dynamically and realistically displaying real-time port scenes, oceanographic meteorological conditions, and ship handling data.

The software system features a rich port scene library encompassing over 50 major ports and routes worldwide. It simulates over 110 vessel types, including container ships, bulk carriers, general cargo ships, cruise ships, liquefied gas tankers, supertankers, warships, and high-speed craft. It can also create realistic training environments, including daytime and nighttime modes, severe weather conditions such as high winds, high waves, rain, snow, and poor visibility, and emergency scenarios such as engine failure, steering gear failure, man overboard, and ship fires.

The simulator can fully meet the requirements for crew training and assessment in the STCW Convention, the "Current Training Program for Seafarers of the People's Republic of China" and the "Code for Competency Assessment of Seafarers of the People's Republic of China". The full-mission ship handling simulator has passed the Norwegian Classification Society (DNV-A) certification and the China Classification Society (CCS) certification.
This project, together with the previously built and put into use engine room training center, 240-degree visual ship handling simulator, engine room power station simulator, engine room simulation system and other facilities and equipment, constitutes a complete set of production-level crew education and training platforms, further consolidating the college's comprehensive leading position in domestic crew education and training in terms of scale and quality.
