Recently, after more than four months of development and discussion and many days of repeated testing and verification, the yacht (high-speed boat) simulator jointly developed by Hefonix (Xiamen Hefeng) and Hong Kong Wind Chaser Boating Association successfully completed the acceptance work and made its debut at the 2025 Hong Kong Outdoor Sports Expo and Asian Indoor Sports Festival. The on-site response was enthusiastic, attracting many tourists to stop and experience it. It also marks the official launch of Hong Kong's first high-precision simulation equipment for yacht (high-speed boat) training.
This yacht (high-speed boat) simulator is based on real-world test data from yachts of different sizes. From the design of the control panel to the mathematical motion model, it highly replicates the handling feel of a real boat. In particular, the meticulous tuning of key parameters such as rudder efficiency, thrust, and inertia allows it to fully meet the training needs of yachts (high-speed boats) in berthing and unberthing, collision avoidance, turning in narrow channels, and navigating around buoys. During testing, it received high praise from experienced boat captains, who called it "the product whose handling performance and precision are closest to that of a real boat!"
The successful completion of the acceptance test not only demonstrates Hefonix's maturity and reliability in yacht (high-speed boat) dedicated simulator technology, but also verifies the practical value of the simulator in addressing the pain points of safety and efficiency in yacht (high-speed boat) training, providing strong support for the next step in promoting the construction of a standardized training system for the industry.
