On the afternoon of March 27, the inauguration ceremony of the National Marine Economic Development Demonstration Zone Research Center and Port and Shipping Collaborative Innovation Center of Xiamen Ocean Vocational and Technical College was successfully held in the lecture hall of Siming Campus.
The opening ceremony was attended by Chen Yiduan, Party Secretary of Xiamen Ocean Vocational and Technical College; Jiang Bizan, Director of the Free Trade Office of the Xiamen Port Administration; Weng Qishu, Deputy Director of the Dongdu Maritime Affairs Office of the Xiamen Maritime Safety Administration; Han Jinfa, Captain of the Coast Guard Law Enforcement Brigade; and leaders and faculty from the College of Navigation. Cai Maoyuan, General Manager of Xiamen Hefeng Interactive Technology Co., Ltd.; and Liu Yongguang, Deputy General Manager, were also invited to attend.

At the ceremony, Secretary Chen Yiduan officially presented the center with a plaque and took a group photo, marking the official opening of the National Marine Economic Development Demonstration Zone Research Center and the Port and Shipping Collaborative Innovation Center.
Following the awarding ceremony, witnessed by leaders and guests, our company and Xiamen Ocean Vocational and Technical College officially signed a horizontal project cooperation agreement. As the first cooperation agreement signed since the center's establishment, this not only marks the center's first practice of industry-university-research collaboration, but also sets the tone for the center's role in stimulating scientific research and promoting the application of research results.

General Manager Cai Maoyuan was invited to speak at the event. He pointed out that the global shipping industry is currently experiencing a period of transition to green shipping. The explosive growth in orders for dual-fuel vessels has put new demands on the professional skills and overall quality of crew members. However, the lack of a sound training system and reliance on imported core technologies have seriously hindered the development of green shipping talent.
This time, we have joined hands with Xiamen Ocean Vocational and Technical College to jointly develop the first domestic dual-fuel ship full-mission integrated simulation training system. This is not only to fill the domestic technological gap and break through the "bottleneck" dilemma, but also to explore a set of "talent co-cultivation-technology co-research-ecological co-construction" marine college model, reshape the inherent model of domestic crew teaching and training, and cultivate a "green shipping talent team" with green concepts and green technology.

At the ceremony, Dr. Cui Han shared outstanding papers from the Provincial Young Scholars Forum in the Social Sciences, adding academic depth to the event and inspiring attendees to think about cutting-edge issues in the marine economy.
In his concluding remarks, Secretary Chen Yiduan further clarified the direction for the center's development. He emphasized that the college's research direction should be anchored in national strategic needs, reflecting on national priorities, addressing national concerns, and researching what the country needs. This approach should focus on industry-university-research collaboration, deepen resource sharing, promote the application of scientific research results, and inject new momentum into the regional marine economy.
