On December 21, all teachers and students of Xingyuan Primary School in Jimei District, Xiamen, gathered under clear skies for the grand opening ceremony of the first “Chasing Dreams Cup” Class Football League and the “New Wish Cup” Class Basketball League. The opening ceremony was vibrant and inspiring. The national flag procession marched forward with dignity, followed by the energetic school flag contingent. The league mascot made a lively appearance, cheerleaders delivered dynamic performances, and all 108 participating class teams entered the field with confidence and enthusiasm. Whether innocent and cheerful or determined and spirited, every team showed its passion for sports and self-improvement.
In their speeches, Secretary Zhang Chaohuai and the school principal emphasized the importance of physical education and holistic student development, energizing the entire event. Representatives of referees and athletes then took solemn oaths. As teachers and students joined in a unified countdown, leaders and guests activated the crystal ball, officially launching Xingyuan Primary School’s first class-based football and basketball league and wishing it a complete success.
Following the ceremony, the school organized 24 creative and engaging football and basketball activities tailored to students’ age groups and physical abilities. Through these carefully designed programs, more than 2,600 students participated in fun, skill-based sports activities, improving coordination, teamwork, and physical fitness while experiencing the joy of exercise. This initiative has significantly enhanced students’ enthusiasm for sports and contributed to the formation of a positive, healthy, and competitive campus sports culture.
